Changing Database’s in MEX
MEX has introduced Access Codes to easily link new devices to your system. Access codes need to be generated by an administrator in MEX, these codes can be shared with the user via SMS, Email Or manually.
Manual Database Change
If there are no administrators available to generate an access code, you can use the URL to the main MEX system.
In the bottom right corner of the login screen you will see a red and white signal button, click this to show the server address field. Enter your MEX server address in the field and press the green tick to connect. E.g https://yourserver.com/MEX
Your server must be publicly accessible to be accessed from outside of the network. If you are unsure, please contact our support team.

Access Codes
Access codes need to be generated by administrators, Codes can be generated from the Security User Listing or the Users details page.
From the Main Menu of MEX open the Control Files then Security Users, select the user you want to generate the code for and click the “Invite to App” Button at the bottom of your screen.
A small window will pop up showing these fields:
- Server Address
- User
- Mobile
The user’s details will be populated with the email and mobile that is linked to their account. Once the necessary details are entered, click the button to either send the access code via Email, Phone or Generated the code manually.
